Create an outline

The first thing you’ll need to do is figure out the flow of your book and what you want to put inside it. Creating a structured draft of the chapters will help you in writing the book, and make sure you don’t write out of context. Start with the general concept of your book and what message you’re trying to deliver to your readers. Then, develop a rough sketch of how the first and final chapter will be like. Fill in the rest of the chapters, just the titles and the general idea of whats in it, and then start writing.

Do research

Whether your book is fictional or non-fictional, research will help you with your topics and as a base for your idea. You can find inspirations in other books with similar genres. You can also do observations and interviews according to what you want to write about. For example, if you want to write about romance, you can observe couples and dive in your own love life and lay out the details. Nonfictional books usually cite a lot of other people’s work, make sure you have your references in your book so that you won’t be labeled as a plagiarist.

If you’re hesitant about your grammar and vocabulary, you should invest some money on an editor. Editors are professionals and can enhance the content of your book. They would make suggestions on what to add to your book and how to finish and start chapters in a way that will attract readers.
