Fishing Village

COMPETITIONS

There will be a number of fishing competitions on the river next to the tower, which have very kindly been sponsored by  Sportfish and  Englands Safety. These competitions will take place over the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The competitions are: Gentleman's Salmon and Trout Distance; Ladies Salmon and Trout Distance and Under 16 Boys and Girls, Trout Distance.

The Cost to Enter is £5 per Adult, and £3 per child. Prizes

Anyone can have as many goes as they like, as long as they pay!! All for a good cause with some amazing prizes.

Exhibitors:

There are a number of exhibitors from the fishing trade and fishing organisations,  Wye Usk Foundation, Fishing for Heroes, and fly tying demonstrations, we will have number of professional demonstrations including the Sportfish Academy personnel, using their new unique rods, as well as a chance to put a real fly on and catch the elusive Wild Usk Brown Trout!!

Food and drinks will be available down at the village throughout the period of the event and we hope that you will enjoy the fishing experience, raise some money for a fantastic cause and watch some wonderful displays. When you have done the fishing bit, you can then enter your dog for the scurries competition, terrier racing, walk the cross country course and take the children to the adventure play area and visit the wide variety of shops and stands. Lots to do and see and we hope that you enjoy the whole experience.
