The members of the South West Shooting Academy and representives from 43Wx Brigade Cadets are on site to engage with the public and share their knowledge and passion of Air Rifle Shooting. The cadet force is currently adapting their policies to embreace the discipline of Air Rifle with the youth of the country as they recognise the potential advantages it can have. Shooting is a highly skilled sport but is open to everyone and is non discriminating. Shooting has come on a long way over the years and the equpiment that the team will be using over this weekend is of Olympic standard and of very high quality.

The South West Shooting Academy is a youth organisation devoted to the sport of shooting with the under 21's. They currently have over 100 members on a weekly basis attending their clubs and have had enjoyed success in National and International Competitions.

Alongside the cadets and young shooters there will also be two highly qualified coaches. Major Brigitte Yeshim and WO2 Lee are qualified coaches and intructors on all shooting disciplines but specialise in Pistol Shooting. They will be on hand to give individual coaching and would be delighted for anyone to come and 'have a go' and help with any enquires or questions there might be.

Shooting is a wonderful sport for young people. It is exciting and fun. It is also very benificial to those young people who do not engage in main stream sports. It allows them to be part of a team, gain confidence and if they want to, excel at National, International and Olympic standards.

Anyone of any age can 'have a go' so make sure you come by and see what we are all about! We know you will enjoy it!
